Proverbs 31:10 ‘Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies, she is rare find.”

  One thing about rare jewels, jewels are rare because they are not in abundance, but also because they have to be cut out of the rock around them. They have to be chipped out, polished, chiseled on and perfected. You don’t just stumble upon a ruby that is perfectly formed and sparkling. It must endure some work.

  The modern day Proverbs 31 woman is no Bible totin’ June Cleaver type woman. She’s been through some things! The modern Proverbs 31 woman is a force to be reckoned with.

  This woman is no weak-willed doormat. She’s a mighty force who’s vigilant in her devotion to God and family. She’d walk through fire for her kids and she’s a stand by your man kinda’ woman!

  That kind of devotion can be found in many different types of women. She may be the woman at your church who makes a mean seven-layer dip for the church potluck or the woman in your Bible study group with multiple tattoos and piercing. She may be the woman who works full-time or the woman who stays home with her children. She may be the divorced woman who tackles her single-mom duties with a smile on her face but with a burden in her heart.

  Which ever she is, she has seen life and has faced her giants with courage and steadfastness and has conquered them. She has been tested and found to be true and trustworthy! She can stand and say I’ve been there and I’ve done that and I’m not going back. She’s been through the fire and has been refined and purified by the Master. She’s been on the Potter’s wheel and has been molded and shaped to be the woman she is.

  A modern Proverbs 31 woman is clothed in strength and dignity! She laughs without fear of the future! She lives her life one day at a time and savors every minute. She believes in the saying…“Life is not measured by the breaths you take but by the moments that take your breath away!” She lives every moment to the fullest because she remembers from whence she came!

  She knows who she in Christ! She’s comfortable in who she is in life! Her mind is made up, her path is straight and her heart is set on following Jesus, wherever He leads.
