My Beloved Speaks

Bridegroom Beckons

Song of Solomon 2:10 KJV “My beloved spoke, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.”

This is what I believe God is saying to the church right now. This is what Holy Spirit has been saying to me personally. “I head my Beloved call and I said here I am Lord!”

During the time in which we live, I believe Holy Spirit is saying to those who have an ear to hear: “I am separating to Myself all those who are willing to be made ready to have a part with Me in that which I am about to do. Therefore, arise and come away with Me.” This time of visitation is bringing a flow of spiritual revelation, understanding, and moving of the Holy Spirit. All who rightly respond to this time of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit are experiencing a higher level of spirituality and anointing (the floors full of wheat and the fats overflowing with wine and oil).

“For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; the flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land; the fig tree puts forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.” ( Song of Solomon 2:10-13)

Abba Father desires that we spend time with Him. Jesus understood this better than anyone. Jesus said, “the Father seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.” Abba sees what others cannot see. The Father sees past our outward actions, He sees the desires of our heart and rewards us. For us who desire the secrets and mysteries of the Kingdom, we must spend time in the secret place with the Father or we will live bankrupt of what we truly desire. Living without the plans God has for us will lead us into a place of great disappointment. Disappointment leads to frustration, which leads to the condition King Solomon called “hope deferred.” This causes the heart to grow cold and sick. We must guard ourselves from this.

Bridal love is a burning heart. Abba desires that our heart’s burn for his Son (the Bridegroom) alone. Our affections must be set on Him if we are going to be without spot or wrinkle at His appearing.

All of the problems in my life and in yours and in our churches are because we don’t fully know Jesus. As we come to know Him, we become like Him. If we don’t spend time with Him personally, we will not get to know Him as He desires. That is why in the Song of Solomon it’s the Bridegroom King who is initiating intimacy. He’s the one who says, “Come away with me.” We love Him because He first loved us; we must respond to Him in this season. We must hear His voice in this wilderness of time. If we don’t hear His voice we cannot follow Him. If we don’t follow Him then we are lost. We become like sheep without a shepherd! Or as us country folk like to say, we find ourselves ‘running round like a chicken with his head cut off’.

Many Christians are just as lost as Adam and Eve were in the Garden of Eden hiding from God. Instead of hiding behind the trees, we hide in the pews of the local church. In this hour God is saying to us “Come away with Me, My beloved.” Our intimate times with God are His preparations for us for the perilous times that are sure to come.

I do believe in the greater glory of the Latter house, but I also believe they will happen in the midst of the most perilous times this planet has ever seen. The best and the worst are still yet to come. I can tell you it’s time to respond to God. It’s not time to play games. Holy Spirit told me the time for playing patty cake with ‘pretend’ Christians is over! It’s time to stand and hear the voice of the Bridegroom so that our hearts burn for Jesus alone.

As we return to the scripture we started with there is a timeless lesson to be learned. “My beloved spoke, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.” (Song of Solomon 2:10 KJV) The verse starts with the Bride recognizing her beloved’s voice. Our journey begins when we hear His voice. We can’t go anywhere if we don’t first hear Jesus. What’s interesting is Jesus doesn’t initially tell us where we are going, He just affirms us by calling us His. The truth of us being His should deeply awaken love in us, and cause us to follow Him no matter where He’s leading. Jesus doesn’t have to tell you where you’re going; you should not have to understand to obey. “Lead me Lord and I will follow!” Those who have to understand to obey really are fearful or insecure in God’s voice and that could be one of the causes for us to want to have to understand everything before we obey God. I personally believe that some things are on a ‘need to know’ basis. God will reveal things to us as we need them.

If you continue to read Song of Solomon, the King speaks of a time of natural fruitfulness in the earth then he repeats himself to the one his heart loves. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.” (Song of Solomon 2:13) He repeats himself because of his desire to be with the one he loves. He goes on to tell his bride who she is to him and he affirms her beauty. The bridegroom shares with her his desire to hear her voice. This is similar to the Lord telling us “the prayer of the upright is His delight.” He is expressing to her who she is and what his desires are for her. Jesus searches us out to love on us and longs for us to just sit and love on Him!

“My beloved is mine, and I am His.” Wow! What a revelation! When God is truly speaking to us, our revelation of Him must increase. “He must increase and I must decrease!” “More of You Lord and less of me!” God initiates this in the secret place.

This encounter with Jesus began by her recognizing His voice. Jesus calls the bride to Himself, so she stops living for herself. As He speaks to her she realizes who she is. She begins to understand the desires of His heart. She cannot live for God and not know the desires of His heart. Here the King shares His heart and His view of her and His desire for her to communicate with Him. “Lord make the desires of Your heart the desires of my heart!”

Jesus desires to spend time with us; the question is do we have time for Him?

In His love,
Elizabeth
