Too Busy Being Busy

 too-busy-too-listen

Wake up Church, wipe the sleep outta your eyes and look around. Step away from the computer, lay that cell phone down, turn off the t.v., bow your heart and cry out for a nation that is going to hell in a hand basket.

People all around us are hurting and crying….”is here no balm in Giliad”! Do we even care? Have we become so full of ourselves that we don’t see or hear the cries of those around us? Are we being too busy being busy going about doing the “Lord’s work” we forget what He’s really all about? Jesus said what you do unto the least of these, you do unto Me. It’s all about love folks not how big a ministry you can have or how big a church building you can build or how many friends you can gather around you and follow you on some social media.

Wake up people!  In Psalms He says, “Cease striving and know that I am God”.  EPV….Be still, shut up and listen to Me!  *smile*

Sometimes God wants our undivided attention so He can talk with us. I used to visit my sister and she couldn’t get her face outta’ the computer long enough to even acknowledge I was there so I would eventually give up even trying to talk to her and would just leave. Another scenario….my son and I were running errands together and we couldn’t even carry on a conversation for his cell phone beeping. Why? Because someone posted on Facebook. (just an example)

Sometimes I wonder if that’s how God feels when He wants to talk to us. He can’t get our noses outta other peoples business, our eyes off the t.v. and can’t get us to put our cell phones down long enough to acknowledge His trying to talk to us. Sometimes I wonder if we’ve grown so used to hearing our own voice, we’ve forgotten what His sounds like.
Lord help us!

I love you but God loves you more!

“If my people (the church), who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

In His love,
Elizabeth

About Elizabeth

I consider it an honor and a privilege, not a right as a woman, to be called to preach the gospel. I pray you find something here to bless you for that is my prayer and if I fail, in words, to express what I feel in my heart, I pray Holy Spirit will reveal it.
